Forums Rules
We also established a few set of message forums rules, all based on RESPECT for others.
  1. You have the right to express your opinion. Do so in a manner that is not accusatory or inflammatory in nature. If any posts are made by others that violate this rule, do not join in and/or enter/comment on the thread.
  2. Never post a private e-mail/message to the forums without the author's permission.
  3. File Attachments are not permitted in the forums. You can add links to any given hosted file.
  4. Spelling and Punctuation. PLEASE, try to take the time to ensure that you use proper spelling and punctuation in your posts. We are not school teachers or a replacement for your mother, but we hope you take enough pride in your posts to try to make them readable to others. Because in the Cyberspace world of e-mail, your writing abilities as well as what you say are what will leave an impression on others. Remember that misunderstandings usually happen due to misinterpretations. Please, be clear.
  5. Foul Language. We request that you refrain from the use of foul language in your posts. Using special characters to mask out certain letters is not acceptable (e.g. "My car got f***ed up!"). One can get the point accross without the use of it.
  6. "For Sale" ads by list members are welcome, but please limit yourself to one post. Additionally, anybody responding to these posts should do so PRIVATELY. People should consider using the Classified page on the web site as the main tool for such transactions.
  7. Spamming is forbidden. Users who abuse the forums will be dealt with by the administrators.
Warning procedures
Any violations of the rules will be dealt with by the MFBA Administration Committee using the following procedures:

1. A warning will be mailed privately from any member of the Committee to any individual(s) who is not behaving within the guidelines and rules of the forums. The section of the Forums Rules being violated will be quoted in the notification.

2. Should the warned individual(s) make any further posts that are in violation of the rules, a decision will be made by at least two committee members to remove the member from the Forums. It is important that such action occur as immediately as possible. The duration of the removal will then be determined with the majority of the entire Committee in agreement. The duration can be:
  1. Removal from the Forums for one week
  2. Removal from the Forums indefinitely with a date when the applicant can request to be reinstated, at which time the Committee will review the case, and determine conditions of reinstatement if applicable
  3. Removal from the Forums indefinitely
  4. Removal from the Forums and removal from the Club... both indefinitely
Note: We hope we will not have to go through these procedures.
